Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei wrote in a social media post that the president's address at the UN General Assembly was "truly full of profound and dignified points."
"Dr. Pezeshkian, drawing on the spiritual legacy of the martyred Imam Khamenei, firmly and resolutely defended the rightful rights of the Iranian people and exposed the American and Zionist criminals," Ejei wrote. "Today, the voice of the Iranian nation's quest for justice resonates in the ears of the world's free people."
Ejei said it is clear that the United States and the Zionist regime committed numerous war crimes in their aggression against Iran. Under international law, he said, both the act of aggression itself was illegitimate and illegal, and the crimes committed during it fall into the category of gross and sometimes even more egregious war crimes.
"The truth is that we are demanding and owed answers from the international community and international bodies; they chose silence and inaction, accompanied by endorsement, in response to the numerous war crimes of America and the Zionist regime against the Iranian people," he said.
"International bodies and so-called human rights defenders turned a blind eye to the war crimes of the American and Israeli regimes against the Iranian people," Ejei added.
